An internationally recognised journalist, communication expert and media trainer, John Holland has worked in the upper echelons of print and broadcast news in Europe for over 30 years.
A former Frankfurt Bureau Chief at CNBC Europe, John worked as a CBS News radio correspondent and television producer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was also a regular contributor to The Times of London and was UPI bureau chief in Vienna.
In that time John conducted hundreds of interviews with senior political, business and social decision-makers at major international meetings such as the World Economic Forum in Davos and CeBIT. He also reported on wars in the Balkans, Africa and the Middle East.
Since 2010 John has provided tailor-made communication training and advice to clients such as the EU institutions, the United Nations, NGOs and multinational companies.
As a media expert, John has worked as a senior project consultant with the European Journalism Centre in Brussels and Maastricht and lectured in media literacy at the Europa Institut of the University of the Saarland. He has also advised broadcasters such as the BBC, Spain’s Tele5, and MTV Finland.
