Joanna Sullivan has worked at the heart of EU policymaking for 30 years. As founder of Conscience, Brussels’ first sustainability advisory, she advised the European Commission, United Nations agencies, Fortune-500 companies and global NGOs on campaigns, communication, influence and engagement for 15 years.
Joanna brings a unique 360-degree perspective, sharing strategic insight, technical expertise and winning tactics from both her advisory roles and her previous in-house experience in the European Parliament as well as corporate, association and civil society leadership.
She has been interviewed on BBC, CNN and TF1, quoted in publications including Financial Times, The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal and Politico, and has secured coverage for clients across major international media.
Since 2001, Joanna has delivered tailor-made communication and media training to hundreds of leadership teams across EU institutions, UN bodies, international associations, NGOs, institutes and multinational companies. As a policy communications expert, she also advised the European Commission between 2009 and 2023 at Cabinet and Directorate-General levels.
