Brandon Mitchener is a Brussels-based independent communication trainer with over 30 years’ experience as a journalist and consultant. His specialty is helping organisations make better decisions – especially relating to science and technical topics.
Since 2004, Brandon has led strategic and corporate communications for APCO Europe, First Solar and Monsanto for four years each, with a focus on delivering integrated communications campaigns across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He has also led the European Business Aviation Association and the Brussels office of the international strategic communications group Instinctif Partners.
Before 2004, Brandon spent 15 years as a journalist and foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, The International Herald Tribune and Dow Jones Newswires in New York, Frankfurt and Brussels. He covered international financial markets, German unification, the European automotive industry, the introduction of the euro, European Union summits and EU food safety, technology and competition policies, among other topics.
A citizen of the United States, Belgium and France, Brandon has a Master of Science in Journalism from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree in German literature from Wabash College.
